"When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth." - Sir Arthur Conan Doyle Ah Holmes! How this grand figure of detection would have wonderfully pondered and strode his bow against his strings in such a fine spiritualists age as we are facing right now! Admittedly of course, this figure of history who I myself greatly admire and have read repeatedly in my life, had the image of an abstract thinker to the logic of the problem and to what the facts were, instead of what was merely appearing to have been. There is little of any of the detection in terms of the spirituality in life apart from the affect it takes on the life walking the path it so chooses. Like Holmes however, who himself appreciated the ethereal and the artisan nature of life, he might have just grappled with the ponderous effects of a spirituality now emerging from the veiled and the scented gothic halls of old Cathedrals alone and now into the emerging consciousness of people in their personal modes of self-creation. He might even say, "It's elementary!" Then again, a personal view of a hero holds maturation of the spirit for myself in some ways that it doesn't for others. Hold true old friend! - WD Allan
"... that your soul wants the freedom to sing, dance, love. As your body needs nourishment - food, drink, sleep, so does your soul need nourishment - sing, dance, love. Life is not all work, work is not all hard toil. Nourish your soul with the food that is right for it, for it is the altar of your own inner temple."... This canticle grows upon the brow as a bit of mist does traveling across a moor headed for brighter horizons where thus, it should surely rise up in the sun to meet the bright light of the day. All too often these near regions in the west are widely accused of placing the virtue of work above all else and its resulting... gain as the prime directive to every soul. The verse recites in true form the critical importance of a state of BALANCE and of ones soulful nourishment that allows one to continue to prosper in ones life! Seek not the vile singular habit of greed as a means to life's fulfillment as is so the habit. Seek instead to balance your own activities and values in accordance with a full and nourishing table set to the edge with everything that could be expected and more out of the meal of existence! Be true to you! - WD Allan Deep peace is the result of an individual choice for soulfully spiritual self-creation as well as a very deep introspection into oneself and the sources leading to such a state of being. Many of the masters of meditation and spiritual thought understood this all too well and sought to instill this principle into their ...students. It would benefit the seeker for such in life to recall the core principles that defines existence itself for this is the path to deep peace. - WD Allan
Its been said that one cannot expect a utility worker to predict the futures market on Wall Street. The same can be transposed to virtually any and every situational complex of life. If we keep in mind that the most successful managers in life surround themselves with the most knowledgeable people that they can find, t...he intents of this remain quite obvious. Make yourself open and accepting to the thoughts and the opinions of well experienced and very knowledgeable individuals who are willing to share with you what they know. If you exist as an island alone on a great sea, chances are that you will only avail yourself of your own opinion, and this is usually a very tenuous position from to live and make decisions from. - WD Allan
One of the easiest of inner-visions to reclaim in the process of meditation is the picture of a white light enveloping ones own being. There are many reasons provided for this from an array of various opinionated sources, but the one that truly rises above them all is that this is the most intuitive vision within every...one of who and from where we all come from. It is the vision of the most pure part of ourselves and thus, it is the simplest to bring to being. As you draw from and spread about the product drawn from this brilliant core of yourself, you spread about the very energy of the brilliance of all of existence and if you've been wondering the answer is yes. It spreads like wildfire once unleashed! Of course! Its a sharing of the most rudimentary part of who one is! WD Allan
Life is an experience in BE-ING with all of the thoughts, choices, actions and re-actions leading to new states of being. The widest of personal perspectives is gained through the realization that we all spend a lifetime thinking and doing in all sorts of ways. The impact it has on the moment is only one perspective. T...he impact it has on the totality of life? Now, there is the landscape perspective of existence! Try meditating on both and all and from this will come a beginning to the understanding of why this existence, in our individual experience is the way that it is. - WD Allan
Even when spoken in a spiritual perspective, Churchill was quite right. "Never give in!" Don't assuage your fears perspective with anger. Just be YOU. Allow yourself to be spiritual enough to draw a perspective from it all! A perspective that provides faith in what always seems more fleeting than not. Be you... - WD Allan
The circle of life meets akin the circle of happening in what is. What remains are the choices by which we either accept their happening or take steps to insure that their happenings are averted thus setting life and individual existence onto alternate courses of experience. The choice always rests singularly with you. - WD Allan
