We all receive and re-energize our own interpretation of our spiritual ideals of life according to the ways that we have learned to live and survive in the world. It's really no different than learning and adapting ones own reactions to the usual and unusual happenings that rise every day along the path of life. What tends to change along this spanning living period of adaptation are the ways that we view ourselves and in most cases people tend to attribute their own inner interpretations as the responsibility and the results of the ways that the world presents itself. Things couldn't be farther from the truth!

Have you ever heard someone say to you that timeless phrase: "you make me feel.." or "if it wasn't for the way that you acted I wouldn't have reacted like I did?"

Its such an easy thing to blame the world or some other person for the way or ways one reacts to some event or someone else's actions or how ones emotions play out like a self-driven advocacy engine in the world. Why it is that the responsibility factor tends to fall by the wayside in many cases is that people as a whole seem to contain a learned innate survival mechanism that really does enjoy steering the attention away from ones own self and onto other people and other things in this existence. Certainly this is a natural reaction. Like the child who when asked by his or her parents, "did you do this or that?" The response is so frequently "NOT ME" or "I DON'T KNOW" or "He or she did it!"

Nobody enjoys the weight of shouldering any due responsibility when something, some choice, some act or action, or when some decision put into motion goes horribly wrong for some reason. None of us need think all too long to come up with enough examples to fill the pots of expedient thought!

When the tangential engine of chaotic self-creation through blind innovative denial stops is when one decides to openly and honestly take true responsibility for those thoughts, the decisions, the choices and for the actions one sets into motion in life and thereby along the way, one raises ones awareness of these thoughts and actions in a manner of true aligned self-creation made manifest!

It's an ironic thing you know, that one of the greatest of methods of tuning ones living self-creation in existence and then maintaining that living self-creation of life is contained in the example of the scientific method transposed into the instance of life.

Before you laugh or criticize this train of thoughts, just think about it for a moment.

The scientific method in layman terms asks one to state some hypothesis or a question of supposed being, to state some possibility and then asks one to set oneself to the path of proving or disproving that hypothesis or question through some means of systematic logic. In other words, enacting the path of thought.

If we were to transpose this method into any particular possibility or potential event or circumstance in life, what this would do for someone is to teach him or her to think through ones choices and the potentiality of ones choices before one acts upon them so as to stave off those ill decisions that invariably cause states of personal chaos in life.

Just think what it would be like to be able to stop a personal crisis from rising before it even comes to be?

Just think what it would be like to stop yourself from laying onto that car horn or from extending some, ahem, "gesture" in auto traffic before you may cause that accident?

Just think how pleasurable a day you would have if you set yourself to the path of deciding that you "will" have a pleasant and a happy day, despite the manipulations of others who might adore otherwise?

Just think how you could alter the very patterns of your life simply by thought?

To think of some action "A" and what the results "B" may or could be and then to decide that if you acted out action "A", it very well may result in result "B", and if "B" is all too undesireable, why in the heck act out to begin with?

Who needs it?

This is logic in a personal sense! This is logic in a spiritual sense! This is logic in a realistic sense!

Unfortunately the same system of personal logic is all too often cast to the causes of the winds when the label scientific method is tied to it given the all too fiery associative relationship that has long existed between science and the spiritual. The two have never been good bedfellows!

Instead of the term "scientific method" why not call it a "living method" or as has so long been the case, just call it "personal troubleshooting"!

Setting oneself to the path of thinking ones way through the decisions of life before one sets oneself to that all too familiar path of blind creative chaos can become a habit of being just as familiar as eating breakfast or driving to work in the morning.

It rests just one single decision away and no, it is not all too difficult.

What stands in the way all too often is one's ego and that self-denial that alters a living state of personal responsibility that allows for better decision making.

Interestingly enough, this is also a true spiritual state of being!

You don't think so you say?

Well, how do you think all of this acting in existence started to begin with?

This author rather doubts that it was as some would assert, an instance of some-thing coming out of mere nothingness, and then what did come to exist being the alignment of order from the absolute chaos of nothing.

Order resulting from chaos may happen at times, but it is surely no way to live a life, and it is no way to order ones own decision making and troubleshooting skills.

Yes, this is being spiritual!
