From apparitions that are only "allowed" to be confirmed to the minds and the ears of the populace with the divine guidance of some authoritative body who themselves appear to intimately know better of the Great Spirit than anyone else, right down to the dark and pitiful mindsets that intend stark violence and worse onto any in the world who dare to believe differently than "they" do. In today's common day age there is a complete spiritual re-awakening taking place where many have simply begun to yet again in the spiritual history of the world shout out, "THIS IS ENOUGH!" Quite plainly, there are many in the world who have tired of having their own personal and intimate relationships with a God, a Great Spirit or what have you remain only confirmed according to another's authority over their own minds, be these authorities educated or not who all seem to know what's best for all of "you" to believe, while making it clear that to hell with what you "seem" to come to understand at the depths of your own soulfully spiritual self. As has always been the case from the days of Abraham and before the pyramids rose to their heights right down to this modern days brilliant age where the Holy Spirit touches the lives of all according to everyone's own understanding, at their core people are well aware of their own relationships to God and quite frankly, few require the injected guidance of some other to confirm a spiritual touch of the spirit. The Great Spirit of course rises above such restrictions as history has indicated, and thank the heavens that the same remains ever more true today as proven by the resurgence in the spiritualist mindset. Figures come and go, ideals flex and grow, but the one thing that sometimes appears to be as stagnant as a dead lake in a doldrum wind, is the inability of some self-declared authoritative figures, and I emphasize the term "some", to expand their minds beyond their thousand year old restrictive texts and to allow people to build a personal relationship with the God of their own understandings for themselves without telling them that they would be damned should they not adhere to spiritual constructs that have nothing to do with life, spiritual observance and most of all that for a lacking of any other interpretation, have little if anything to do with a concept of LOVE in existence. When its been well stated by many including some throughout the religious schema that there is no greater force in all of existence than that of love, it surely appears that to recognize this creative fact to existence and to absorb it into the consciousness surely struggles in some. Certainly one of the comforting assurances that is again rising to prominence is the capability of people to intimately recognize their own spiritual connections to the Great Spirit apart and aside from the tendencies of some who wish to continue to set people onto previously determined comfortably controllable spiritual paths, lest they would otherwise seek a deeper inner spiritual truth according to their own understandings. Mistake this not for some rampant rant, for no such theme is intended from one who prides himself on positive ideals of the essence of existence. This is merely an observation of an instance of recent authoritative schism of thought that yet again seeks to define in restrictive terms a spiritual connection to God that seems to have been, yet again, kicked in the butt by convening the wool to be again wrapped over many peoples spiritual eyes. In any period of vast spiritual schism, when the strife, the incessant bigotry and all of the separatist ideals wane and feign the worst in religiously zealot hearts, there will always be a return by many to more spiritual ways of being that do not reduce or detract from "ANY" religiously spiritual tradition of any kind or from any source. Hear my thoughts clearly, for these are the themes that I perceive as absolutely resonating throughout the spiritualist community that do not threaten anyone in any tradition! A true sense of spirituality will always stand to compliment other traditions and never to threaten them! A true sense of spirituality will never relegate others habits, preferences or life goals to the status of the outcast, to the damnations of heresy or the fires of the pits of any ludicrous eternal damnation! A true sense of spirituality seeks to achieve an understanding of others beliefs, to achieve a common respect amongst the vast and the expansive spiritual community of many beliefs and traditions. A true sense of spirituality doesn't reduce others to the status of surf followers endeared only to the slim and marginal habits insisted upon according to what are acknowledged as sanctified beliefs in spiritual tradition. Who is to judge sanctity and who is to not? Spiritual tradition seeks self-awareness and any spiritual figures who damn such revelation blind themselves to the fine examples of ancient masters and prophets, the likenesses of many of the same today adorn many traditions own halls. Spiritual knowledge was never meant to be hidden away within a restrictive archive sealed from others or closed within vault stores of the mind or the inner spirit. This is a conditioned response that clearly communicates the thinking that "people are not able to handle the truth to their existence." Horse pies! Seek awareness and above all, seek the true concept of the word love according to the so-defining ties of your own conscience in association with the Great Spirit of your own understanding and somewhere within is the true meaning of your own sense of spirituality. As Always, WD Allan

I make it my habit to virtually never make outward-bound critiques onto general trends in any spiritually religious traditions, but sometimes all of the control-keeping that takes place in and amongst just grasps for too much spiritual control over others and in rare instances folks just want to speak on what they feel. It remains that when one spends a fair amount of his or her time thinking on all of the religious strife and certain traditions acting in separatist ways while all endlessly bickering amongst each other nowadays, its rather easy to become completely disillusioned with any concept of gathered togetherness whilst amongst any concepts of Gods presence. Thank goodness for personal spiritual ideals that better rise above the general global religious ridiculousness that at its worst often appears the furthest thing associated with anything spiritual. Especially given when one tradition or save another seem to relegate the divine spirit into some sort of a damnation hallway for deliberately chosen individual groups, while allowing for only a choice few devote followers who of course would reach eternity with their souls intact. More posh nonsense I've never personally ever heard and unfortunately seem to keep hearing, even in this day and age. Such mindsets belong in the pre-twentieth century or more accurately relegated to the middle ages that began to foster such nonsense on the mass scale that it did.
