Separate Singular Spirituality

"One of the gravest forms of personal spiritual misunderstanding is wrapped up in the thought that it is a "sole" duty to help people in the world, to dispense healing and to add to the positive energies that are ever needful in the world.

If there is to be an overall effectual change in the spiritual qualities of how the universe interprets this world and all of the personal re-creation making that happens therein, it is interpreted through the surmountable qualities of a vast collective consciousness working together to bring about the finest spiritual ideals ever envisioned.

A good friend put it well once when queried about the number of spiritual helpers in the world. "Attempt to count the number of people in the world who seek some spiritual guidance, and then count the number of spiritual helpers who make themselves available to aid wherever possible. It is hardly a singular proposition, but rather one of a collective action of positive spiritual effect on the part of many, not one.""  - WD Allan

Many things can be said about so many of the various forms of spiritual observance in the world, but one that can never really be aptly applied is that one is better off alone rather than when connected with others.

Even the staunch atheist or the abject skeptic in anything of a spiritual persuasion would admit that there is a growing spiritual presence taking place in the world with many media sources at least partly responsible for the interest, the fascination and the growing personal adherence to one way of believing or another. Along with all of this rise in the energy of being is a growing awakening in many who come to either discover, or to recall that they have always felt "special" in some spiritual way and when they come to investigate these inner sensations further, they come to find that what they always thought was a mere fancy of interest might just have been the murmurings of a spiritual self, a psychic self, or a vast empathically psychic self yearning to help others. What-have-you the labels that are applied, it stands as a firm happening in the world that there are more and more individuals waking up to the fact that they have the abilities to help others in so many spiritual ways. The one antecedent factor often forgotten in all of the spiritual pragmatism taking place in the world is that many seem still connected to that habit of imagining themselves as mere singular actors on a stage of spiritual force, when quite the opposite is more often the case when in the matters of a betterment of the self is concerned.

"No man is an island..." - John Donne

The previous quote is so descriptive of how so many think of themselves and how the actions of the universe tend to interpret the creative force of the energy of all of life and of the tidal forces of the creation of existence. Had the well known spiritual masters of the past been of the persuasion that humankind was better off alone, or that the creation forces of the universe better maneuvered in a vacuum, then they might have set down their loins in a cave and never spoken to anyone else again. Of course we understand that quite the opposite was the habit and perceived as spiritual truth. The lessons over and again were that when people gathered together and all set their thoughtfulness in one manner of thought, they could "move mountains".

The same can be said of today's spiritual movements in the world and surely of the vast numbers of spiritually sensitive souls either coming to the realization of, or having long been in the realization that people are also as strong as they set their associations to be and not merely in the mindset of existing as islands in a vast ocean all alone to the winds of the happenings of the universe.

Be it on ones own mind what their own motives should or would be, but one thing stands as an understanding true and firm to any set of ideals. People as a whole are stronger in any set spiritual course when aligned with others of the same persuasion. Then is the matter of what the persuasion? Setting aside other more anti-social tendencies that do ruminate about the world, what this particular piece speaks of is the mainstream spiritualist movement and those who both believe in and align themselves with the certainty of spirit that they have a role to play in the betterment of people and then the world as a whole through their spiritualist beliefs.

It has always been an interesting as well as a wondrous thing to view so many throughout the world setting their own views and their own interpretive pieces of the spiritual messages of their hearts to text and to spoken word. There is one binding tie to every piece of what is presented to others and to every action of caring and of a loving grace selflessly provided to other people, and that is the combined spiritual action of love that underlies every single helping action, every single spoken and written spiritual word that benefits others.

Some in all of this spiritual making become accused of presenting as being self-appointed saints against the tumult of the world, when quite the opposite is most probably the truth to both their own motives and their thoughts as well as to the motives and the thoughts of others. When some appear as isolative monks, dispensing good as much as they can while others center themselves on the stages of speak, discussing and presenting the greater messages of spiritual positivity as much as they can, it is best to recall that it matters not the size or the medium used. It matters not the form of the word or the language of the character of spirituality. It matters not whether someone is heralded as some sort of a spiritual rock star, or if someone walks the boardwalks of life, meeting one soul at a time. What does matter is that the spiritual energy of the creation of the moment of life is firmly rooted in a benevolent act of a positive spirituality that helps and never hurts. For this is the common language of each and every belief system that sets itself above the muddy fray of all others that conveniently work sometimes for the good of some and often for the good for only themselves at the cost of real people.

The greater consideration always seems to rest in the singular soul making the best of their senses and their words, as long as these words always focus along the tides of the energies of beneficence. For along the tides of that same vast current of beneficence that carries all of the forces of the creation of the mainstay of all of existence does eventually meet together with all others and then are recognized by the universe as the sum of all the forces of a sense of a creation and the re-creation of each particular souls existence.

Everyone counts, and every voice counts in a spiritual sense. As long as this message remains an understanding, then really it matters not the spiritual rock star massing a message or the spiritual board-walker reaching out his or her hand to one person at a time. It matters not how many television screens or how many particular stages one inhabits, or whether one sets aside one reading, one listening or one single helping moment at a time to shift the currents and to sway the eddy's of the spiritual flux of creation at a time.

The moment and the intention of BE-ING in the moment in a spirit of common well-being for all will inevitably turn any tide in the echoes of any degree of chaos in the world. For in the end, the storms do subside and what is usually left over are those to rake up all of the sticks, the leaves and to re-arrange all of life to set to life again, life itself and the force that drives it, the spirit!

Everyone is together, even when they seem to voice all alone.
