Over the past several years I have noticed that along with many other spiritual observances that have risen and made themselves much more aware throughout the world, one of the greatest engines of engendered spiritualism is that quality usually relegated to that of the paranormal with everything above and beyond falling into its virtual card file.

What has been the rising fancy of most of society today, and to its best notice, one of the greatest motivators for people to both expand their personal definitions of a spiritual presence in any context, either outside of their own experience or throughout their own experience, is that of the ghostly, the spirit that makes for the popular that tends to drive the notice.

Without any doubt, as has been the case with clothing fashion, seasonal observances of shopping and societal lifestyles, the same is true of anything with the tag "spiritual" attached to it. Whatever gets the most visible airtime and press-time becomes the nexus through which the remainder of the world measures its own fashion of the moment.

In this however, is a stage call that cannot be preordered. It cannot be doctored for the measure of anyone's particular waistline, or colored for the flavor of the month to suit each individual's demeanor or palette. Anything of a quality of a spiritual presence carries along with it a very true and a very real motivator, and this is what always sets measures and proofs off from any predictable cue card. It cannot be called up for any flashbulb or a camera lens on order. A paranormal presence is that part of the fabric of existence that so far, cannot be defined or relegated to some textbook. Thus forms the foundations for the word, paranormal, itself.

"Of or pertaining to the claimed occurrence of an event or perception without scientific explanation, as psycho kinesis, extrasensory perception, or other purportedly supernatural phenomena." - Dictionary

Now should anyone with an inclination for the spiritual mindset reclaim their senses for one moment and re-read the last portion of the previous definition, "or other purportedly supernatural phenomena", anyone would be remiss in not acknowledging that anything of the spiritual realm in its purest form, any of the worlds religions, anything to do with extra-sensory perception of any sort, anything that can be both denied construct and proof that would set aside any doubt, could be lauded and landed with such a label in this world and perhaps this is the one of the greatest foundations of some peoples fears in what exactly this is all about, an un-provable spiritual presence.

I recall watching some paranormal program and had to be both impressed and almost envious of the souls who engaged the searching with the methods that they were. Dedicated and soulful in their empathy and their drive and determination for both aiding the persons who were inflicted with a presence they could neither explain nor set to any state of comfort in their lives, these souls seemed as concerned for the spiritual presence as they were for the person or persons involved in the case being detailed on that strip of video.

Would it remain that many of the skeptics and the detractors of anything of such a kind in the world would conveniently recall the last time they also yearned to a spiritual presence of the most grand sort to aid them along on their journeys of life, then perhaps a bit more sensitivity and potential assent might enter into their minds.

Of course this is exactly what is happening across the world right now up to and including some of the world's most notable religious establishments that are only recently making the fact "media aware" that they do in fact believe in such spiritual presences and in fact they always did. The rest of world and its media finally caught up with the rest of the long held spiritual establishments who in their own and private ways held these truths evident quietly to themselves.

Suffice it to remain that across most of the spiritualist communities, in one form or another, it's rather an accepted proposition that the paranormal presence of a spirit, a ghost, a shade or what have you for its name, is just that, a spirit. The meaning and the tone of that presence will always be of a varying color depending upon who and what established body of perceivers chose to make it their business in approaching it.

Some people in a very real, and a very impactful way today in this world live lives that have been colored by such presences and events and sometimes to horrible effects regardless of what some others might make of such things. Sometimes the meanings and the history of the spiritual presence is just as important to what is happening as is the impact felt by the target of such events and this is where this blog entry is really getting to.

After all of the media hype is done, beyond all of the pomp and the circumstance and all of the glitter of a screen, large or small, the spiritual presence carries as critical a meaning to why its there and to whom it targets sometimes, as much as it carries its presence through its ongoing existence. Those who attach their empathy and their understandings to both sides of that veil of existence along with their sensitive talents for open-mindedness and respectful observance have a well founded reason to continue their efforts in doing what they are doing.

The universe itself doesn't necessarily draw people into paths without its due course and meaning and the spiritual, the paranormal, and the factual sometimes wander along very rigid lines very close to one another rarely acquiescing any of its real estate to one another. The there are some in the world with the talent for walking across these lines as an artist painting a fresco.

It's a good thing some recognize this fact for these souls far outpace others who don't or choose not to.

My hat goes off to those soulfully spiritual people who do and continue to. You are warriors who recognize that not always does a warrior need to be the aggressor, but sometimes the warrior is the healer of both sides of the veil.
