Introduction Excerpt from Spirituality for the Moment

It’s been said that when people seek to grow, they often grow and shift their places in life in the most variant of ways, even growing despite themselves along with their own failings and frailty’s. This example was certainly the case for this Author, and in many ways I suppose has been since the earliest days of my own life and would be especially through the past decade of my life when, sparing details, I would endure the most stark and major changes I had ever known.

As is usually the case however, when the chips are down and people think there’s nothing left to give of themselves, well, this is when miracles can begin to show should one look in the strangest of places. The last place I personally ever thought to look for the greatest of insight was within myself, for when I began to, the results were illuminating to say the least in the most soulfully of spiritual ways.

The following set of spiritual subjects that hopefully you will take the time to read, absorb, and especially allow yourself some time to think on, to converse with others about, and then to think on again yet further are a set of topics all that I found myself asking many questions about through the course of my own life. As my own time in this existence has moved forward and circumstances were such that provided the impetus for an inner searching of myself in many ways, I found myself seeking the answers to some of those so called great questions of life, as so many others do. This long search brought me too many various schools of thought and even amongst some brief periods of virtual chaos in my life, all that served to carve quite a different course for me as compared to others I knew in the immediate proximity of my days. Some of the most influential of these included a practice in ongoing meditation, many years of the martial arts, much soulful searching with some choice enlightened and spiritual minds that happened across the path of my life over my own years, and finally as time would have it, I found myself driven to place many of these thoughts to paragraph form that moved yet again on to more conversations, the process of which led to these following topics, some of the most soulful and spiritual of life’s questions.

The layout of these topics of discussion is rather simple in form yet philosophically influenced. As I pondered just how to approach this entire process, I found the act of rote writing the most beneficial in communication for my first motive was to let the thoughts flow as I would in any such verbal conversation. The inevitable result though was much more than I had planned on. As the topics unfolded and more material became verse, there was an almost spiritual component to what eventually became known to me as a true connection to my deeply spiritual-self and from there, a connection to a spiritual realm far beyond my own conscious recognition. Some souls across spiritual communities vast and wide report deep connections to spirit guides in their lives, while others report influences and connections to some greater spiritual consciousness, the likes of which range from those with some familial connection to the function of some deity or a deity of their own understanding. My own experience, as I walked through the ups and downs of my own existence led me to this point in my existence with its spiritual connections as they are. I make no claims beyond my own soulfully spiritual understanding and the confidence in this soulful self as it has come to be in my life. I had no other explanation for what unfolded before me, except to say that my own values, beliefs and feelings on such topics became augmented with a true spiritual, valued presence in my life that now I’ve come to accept as that that everyone has in their own spiritual life, should anyone pay any attention to it beyond their mechanized life. If there was any so called bottom-line to the theme of the entire experience it would be to say that these things, all of these as well as any topic of thoughtful spiritual existence that everyone had, has and/or will have as a part of their experience, they already have the sufficient connections to make sound conclusions about. The only thing that’s needed is an open channel to that inner spiritual tuner within us all. The greatest stumbling block is that many people walk through life with a set of deaf spiritual ears and a set of blinders on to what lay before them and has all along.
