Competition it's said can mold a worthy adversary out of the meek! At least that's a loose translation of something I overheard a coach exclaim once a long time ago. Interesting when you really think about it isn't it? Is there really a healthy sense of competition where the influential game of life is concerned? Ah, that last line even indicates much of our social behavior towards daily life in many...

Book Reviews

Yet Another Five Star Review! "Regardless of One's Faith a Must Have for Any Bookshelf!", November 16, 2010

W.D. Allan did a fantastic accomplishment of opening up my mind further to the concept of Sprituality and helped me find my own answers to many of the questions I have throughout the course of my life asked? "Why am I here?" for example. Sprituality for the Moment is a book that helps a person be their own guide to not only the "what" they believe in but the "why". Regardless of what faith you are or even if you believe you have none at all. This book will make you think, make you feel, and if nothing at all make you listen to yourself. The book in itself is read best in sequense of the chapters, but I found that the breakdown of the 24 chapters allows the reader to pick any chapter to begin and allow the works to enter one's mind. Also W.D. Allan lists a great bibliography that only compliments the work that this is!

Another Five Star Review! "A GREAT THOUGHT PROVOKING BOOK TO HELP YOU LOOK AT & DEFINE YOUR OWN SPIRITUALITY", October 8, 2009

A fascinating and engaging book which encourages one to dig deep within themselves to define their own spirituality. This book really does provoke one's thoughts to want to better one's self, and it gives the reader a clear view into their soul to showcase one's inner strength and courage when it's needed the most. If you are at a crossroads in your life and you are unsure which spiritual direction to take, get a copy of this book, as it will help you focus on your spirituality and it will offer easy and practical tips to help you on your journey. I highly recommend this book from one of today's already well accomplished authors. Thank you WD for bringing us this priceless piece of spiritual art! - Christopher Reburn, Internationally renowned psychic, medium and spiritual teacher!

Five Star Review for Spirituality for the Moment stating that the book was, "Stimulating!" April 15, 2009

"This book gives us much to think about! I'll be giving it a serious second read. Truly a work of literature that raises questions from within. Warning, it is not a quick read and feel better piece. This is more of an adventure of the many facets within us, which differ for all. Have a pencil in hand for underlining. Mine is marked well for reference, review and highlighted items that touched me. The author's wide range of training and knowledge bring to this spiritual work a totally new slant. It's a must read!"

Five Star Amazon Book Review for Spirituality for the Moment stating that the book was, "A Journey of the Spirit", December 1, 2008

"W.D. Allan's book gives a practical yet beautiful slant to spiritual ideas, covering many different avenues of daily life. There are deeply thought-provoking scenarios that will pull you into his world of spiritual searching. Don't expect the fluff of many books that have come this way in the spiritual genre. Do be prepared to put on your thinking caps and follow him into a world of deep thought, winding your way to a end which really leads to yet another beginning. I highly recommend this book for those prepared to dig deep into a journey of beauty and wonder. Brilliant work!" - Amazon.com Customer

Why The Moment?

"The Moment" speaks to the process of seeking answers to the questions of the soul and of the spirit and of life’s meaning. Its my experience that people eventually discover that they already have some innate sense of some subjective truth to their own answers, for in the end, you are the determiner of your own life and how you perceive this experiential existence called life. It’s only through your own perceptions and your own soulful qualities that you eventually draw your own conclusions. These conclusions come from every single moment of your existence. - WD Allan, Author of Spirituality for The Moment

A Thought on Spirituality...

Many carry the ill-formed conception that spirituality is directly and singularly tied to some denomination of religious observance. For many it certainly is at the central core of what they identify as their inward and their outward expressions of spirituality, for this is what they have been told since before they could barely totter across a floor, let alone stretch their legs down a pew bench seat.

Spirituality however is much more than a book, an observance or of a belief in God. It is at the core of what produces the yearning for a belief in something else in the universe. Something else that is responsible for where we are, for who we are and to what we aim to achieve in this existence.

Spirituality is at least as many have been told, in that it's a grand expression of a belief in some Great Spirit that has a universal understanding about all of what is life and existence.

What is more to the point of all of it however, is that its expression is principle to the relationship we have with the Great Spirit. We express ourselves, our lives, and all of our experiences as an integral function of that Spirit, for we are a part of that Spirit and that Spirit is integral to ourselves. When this is understood as a primary function in ones life, then all of life changes and so does our manner of our creation of every single moment that forms our entire lives to come.
